Progress of privacy technologies audit by TECHFUND Inc. — 3rd Report
Since announcing the postponement of the Trusted Setup Ceremony in May 2020, we have been conducting an audit of the revised privacy technologies on the QURAS blockchain under the updated mainnet release policy.
Progress since the second report
In the second report, we completed the ring signature fixes and zk-SNARKs audit and fixes, as well as the audit and fixes of the consensus algorithm TSdBFT.
We have finalized the smart contract fees and nodes fees as a difference from since then.
The recent surge in Ethereum GAS has forced us to again consider the importance of fees. Based on these experiences, QURAS has been adjusted to a fee structure that is less loaded for users and more sustainable for nodes.
At the time of this article’s release, we are implementing it based on the adjusted specifications, which is expected to take one to two weeks.
What do we do after the next audit?
After the above audit, we will launch a final test net, a “Beta net”, before the main net. This is for internal testing purposes only and will not be open to the public.
After two weeks of beta-net testing, we will conduct an audit, and then use the feedback to fix and test the beta net, and then again conduct the audit. This will complete all audits for the mainnet launch.
From this point forward, there will be more visible announcements for everyone in the community. QURAS mainnet will launch by the end of 2020. Please stay tuned for more announcements.
The next audit progress announcement will be released in approximately a month from now.
