Quras and IoT
In this article, we will explore the Internet of Things and learn in which ways Quras will help make IoT safer and more user-friendly.
What is the Internet of Things (IoT)?
There is no need to come up with a unique definition, the one posted on Wikipedia is pretty good:
The Internet of things (IoT) is the network of physical devices, vehicles, home appliances, and other items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity which enables these objects to connect and exchange data. Each thing is uniquely identifiable through its embedded computing system but is able to inter-operate within the existing Internet infrastructure.
But how would that look like in the real world?
Internet of Things will fundamentally change how home controls, appliances, lighting, and other everyday products are made, used and sold. Users will control their homes through smartphones or tablets while manufacturers will deliver updates, new features and information feeds directly to their products. Consumer products will stop being just products; they will become the foundation for ongoing relationships.
Smart buildings technology is a rapidly growing segment of the Internet of Things market, as there is an increasingly broad market awareness of the business values generated by deploying smart building solutions. Smart building technologies have matured to enable facility optimization through the convergence of information technology and building automation. Building owners and key decision makers are increasingly aware of the business value of these solutions.
Connected Consumer Electronics (CE) represents a range of new intelligent devices that are becoming a part of our everyday lives. Whether it’s a connected smart plug, pet-tracking services or personal health monitor, the sharing of Internet and entertainment content is changing the way we live.
Consumers will have access to more energy efficient living, new ways of interacting with each other, gadgets and home appliances from anywhere within mobile coverage range, be it at home, work or while commuting. As telecom operators and large retailers look to expand their presence in the
connected home, they are looking more and more for a complete cloud platform to enable IoT solutions, end-to-end. Ayla provides all the pieces — device connectivity, cloud services, application enablement, and data analytics — to create new services and revenue streams for the Internet of Things.
Quras and IoT
So, now that you know what IoT is and how it will change our way of living, let’s see how will Quras contribute to the whole story.
First, Quras will keep users of IoT devices anonymous by using Zero knowledge protocol and other anonymity properties, which are a priority on Quraschain.
Second, it will aim to effectively collect usage data and send it in a suitable analytics structure to developers of IoT device software, so they can use it to enrich their model without maintaining a central server and can also keep their data secure.
But most importantly QURAS data will be used to sign the contract between users and their IoT devices, So IOT devices will always be generating trustworthy and secure data.
Naturally, we will use user-friendly interfaces for embedding the platform and the QURAS token for a broad variety of IoT applications and service targets aimed at performance improvements and cost reductions, such as reduction of central server cost and cost of security regards to data.
