Progress since the Third Report

In the third report, we described that we had finalized the specifications after adjusting the smart contract fees and node fees, and that we were about to launch the beta net and, if there were no problems, we would start the final audit.

Progress differences since then are as follows:

September 23: BetaNet Launch

The BetaNet is an environment that is intended to be the mainnet. After the launch of the BetaNet, we checked that the network was working to specifications.

October 13: Audit of smart contracts

For the Smart Contracts audit, the audit company reviewed the audit to ensure that it was operating to specifications and that the adjusted fees were reflected correctly. After getting feedback from the audit, we completed the fix on November 3. This will be followed by a re-audit.

In addition, during that time we have experienced several node hang-ups. All causes have already been determined and fixed. Currently, the overall schedule is about two weeks delayed from the initially estimated date.

What we do before the mainnet launch

We will now be digesting the remaining tasks until the audit and the mainnet launch. We started on the remaining audit items on November 4.

The remaining items are as follows:

  • Re-audit after smart contract functionality is fixed
  • Web Wallet Audit
  • Windows Wallet auditing (primarily a multi-signature feature)

If the series of audits go without delays, we are expecting to complete the process on November 26. As soon as everything is cleared, we will begin the mainnet launch process and launch within the next few days. This means the mainnet launch will be at the end of November or early December.

We’ll have to wait a bit longer, but the mainnet is coming up to just before the launch. We look forward to continuing to work with you.

Finally, we send a message to the community from our CEO, Shigeki Kakutani.

Message from QURAS CEO Shigeki Kakutani

It has been three years since QURAS was launched in 2017. And the blockchain that we originally planned to protect all kinds of privacy on the blockchain’ is now just before launch.

Blockchain development is something that is often invisible to you, but it will become more visible from now on. Each word of our supporters will heat us up and feed our minds to keep ourselves aggressively moving forward.

We are almost ready for the mainnet, but after the mainnet launches, we are preparing for the social implementation and the development of various services that are not yet included in this announcement, so please look forward to it! Thank you.
